White Meadow provides a warm, nurturing and homely environment for young people who, for a wide variety of reasons, are being looked after by their local authority and are unable to live at home.

We can provide for young people with a diagnosis of Autism and other complexities such as ADHD, severe learning disabilities, non-verbal or limited communication.  We also work from a trauma and attachment-based model and PACE will underpin our day-to-day practice.

This home is part of the My3 portfolio of My 3 Care and to also include Wood Edge Independent School  and My3 Therapeutic Services.

Based in Ormskirk, White Meadow is close to a beautiful woodland area where we enjoy peaceful walks. My3 works in partnership with Edge Hill University and we have access to facilities such as the swimming pool, library, training and extensive grounds and gardens.

Through specific My3 induction training the White Meadow staff team recognise and build on the individual strengths of each young person and use their interests to help them to live, to learn and to grow into realising their potential.

White Meadow Ethos

Our ethos which underpins our care and is fundamental to providing a solid foundation from which we work, is that our young people are always placed at the heart of everything we do.

How we see Success …

'After 6 months of being out of education for a long period of time, we are delighted that one of our young people, with a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and PDA, has now been reintegrated back into full- time education. This has enabled her the opportunity to enjoy learning new things, socialise with peers her age and establish a routine. To see the increase in her confidence and self-esteem has been wonderful for everyone in the home.'

We believe that all young people, whatever their history, have the right to develop their own identity, a future that opens a world of opportunity, and a memorable journey of being valued, that enables them to achieve their potential.

The difficulties some young people may have experienced before being placed with us may have left them hurt, angry, let down and distrustful of adults.  At White Meadow, our aim is to provide a haven, for them to enjoy, learn and grow positive relationships, within an environment they feel safe.

How we see Success …

'Having a 24 hour wrap around care, education and therapeutic transition plan has greatly improved the outcomes for our young person with global development delay, speech and language, and other physical needs. After being out of school for over 3 years, the overall improvement in communication and comprehension in literacy, numeracy, sensory and creative arts has been a ‘wow’ for all the staff team, and in just a relatively short period of time’

Testimonials …

“I cannot tell you how happy we are that my grandchild has moved to White Meadow. When I first visited the home with my husband, and then, with my sister, we all got a good feeling. The home is beautiful and the staff are so friendly and energetic. It really shows how committed they all are about caring for all young people and how experienced they are. The support that the manager, key worker and staff team have given to us has been amazing and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done and are doing. The help with the transition and delays was really appreciated, taking her to school and taking her to White Meadow at the weekend before the placement started. I know that my granddchild is going to have a wonderful life with you and a lifestyle truly deserving. Thank you to the manager for being there whatever the time. I saw the photos of Southport and they say it all. “

“I have been worrying so much since the last placement broke down. From the first week, White Meadow have done so much for my child. I am happy that there is access to swimming groups and activities. All the My3 staff are fantastic. It has been a blessing in disguise that both myself and my child are happy, and we feel this is the right place. The staff are perfect. They understand and get my child’s needs”
